Dear David Samuels,
Let me congratulate you to your wonderful bows.
I have been playing your bow for nearly a year now and I am more and more happy about it.
It has all the qualities that I have been looking for:
A full and rich sound – clear articulation – beautiful bounce – ‘perfect’ weight – wonderful handcraft – easy to handle…
I wish to see many more of you’re your masterpieces and I wish you all the best,

In addition to being a ‘cellist, I am also a visual artist and, as such, I can appreciate David Samuels’ bows on several levels. First, and certainly most important, these amazing bows are everything they need to be: finely crafted yet resilient. These bows are sleek, elegant, and graceful in the flowing curves of their designs. It is apparent that the very finest of materials are selected for each individual work of art, and no material is flagrantly used or wasted on excess frills. In fact, the bows are understated in their beauty in that it is in their simplicity and classical look that their aesthetic properties are found. Of all the bows I’ve owned, my David Samuels bows far exceed the performance and aesthetic appeal of any of the others. My Samuels bows are envied by all my colleagues!

From the minute I played David Samuels' bows, I knew I found a match! I own 2 of his bows and enjoy them so much. They are beautifully balanced and produce a magnificent sound."

I am a violinist in possesion of a wonderful bow which you made. I have played your bow with great satisfaction for years now and I am very happy to say that I have had no desire to seek anything different or "better". The bow is a wonderful tool and a tremendous pleasure to use. You can hear some of the work I have done with your bow (including clips from my senior recital at the Eastman School) on my website in the Sound Gallery: www.i5pmusic.com
Thank you again for creating such a fine bow!

When I ordered a violin bow from you earlier this year, out of ignorance I had asked you many questions about the stick and the frog. Well, many months later I have finally come to appreciate the masterpiece you have created. Thank you so much for creating a beautiful bow for my wife and me. This bow and your previous bow we purchased are both truly masterpieces.
During our time here in Tokyo, we have seen many great bows- including some by the great old French makers- but nothing surpasses your artistry. I believe that you are the greatest bowmaker in the world today.
Thank you again for your wonderful artistry.

Thank you!
The bow is awesome. It got me through my masters degree and now I am starting to take professional auditions with it.

The cello bow you made for me in 1996 has been a fantastic bow and I have been playing it constantly for the past ten years. Thank you for the wonderful bow.

My David Samuels viola bow is absolutely beautiful! It has perfect balance and a warm and pure sound. It is a pleasure to play. My bow responds with exceptional sensitivity to my playing. I heard that David Samuels makes beautiful bows, but you have to play one to really experience it. Thank you for the bow. Sarah Lowenstein; Violist |
